Toolboxes: Here's a handy list of all toolboxes I've shared with you up to Unit 6

Unit 4: Materials & Supplies for the Layered Paper Frame

These are examples -- you will be taught how to make this in different ways, personalized to you. Ideas on the left, a finished one in a shadow box on the right.

  • 4-6+ sheets of 12" x 12" 65-80 lb. (176-216 gsm) cardstock in contrasting colors -- I recommend one of those colors be white or very light to provide contrast
  • Double-sided adhesive foam circles, double-sided adhesive foam mounting tape, or 3D Zots
  • Scissors (if you need to cut mounting tape)
  • Cricut cutting machine (Joy, Explore, or Maker)
  • Green StandardGrip machine mat (12" x 12" for Explore/Maker, 4.5" x 12" for Cricut Joy) -- you will still need a mat for the Explore 3 and Maker 3
  • Fine point blade
  • Ruler (if you have a shadow box frame you need to measure)
  • Scraper, Weeding Tool, Spatula
  • (Optional) Scoring stylus (Explore and Maker only) or scoring tool (Maker only)
  • (Optional) Shadow Box Frame (as big as 11" x 11" for Explore and Maker users, and. as small as 5" x 5" for Joy users) -- you do not have to have this
  • (Optional) Tape or glue if you're going to make the paper shadow box frame from my templates
  • (Optional) Photo, image, or separate design to put in your finished frame. Size will depend entirely on what size you make your frame, so it's best not to make this until after you know what size your frame opening is. If you already have something you want to place in this, you can size your frame to fit.

Unit 5: Materials & Supplies for the Custom Paper Flower

See my Unit 5 project shopping list here | Download the Unit 5 printable supply list here

  • 1-20+ sheets of SOLID CORE 65 lb. cardstock in "flower" colors -- can be 8.5" x 11" or 12" x 12" -- number of sheets depends on what size you make — smaller flower is less, bigger flower is more. (Optionally, Maker and Maker 3 users with a rotary blade can use crepe paper; Explore and Joy users cannot cut crepe paper)
  • Tacky glue or hot glue (which one you use will depend on the size of your flower -- I recommend tacky glue for small flowers and hot glue for big flowers)
  • Cricut cutting machine (Joy, Explore, or Maker)
  • Green StandardGrip machine mat (12" x 12" for Explore/Maker, 4.5" x 12" for Cricut Joy) -- you will still need a mat for the Explore 3 and Maker 3
  • Fine point blade (or rotary blade + housing if you have a Maker or Maker 3 and want to cut crepe paper)
  • Scraper, Weeding Tool, Spatula
  • (Optional) Pan pastels or watercolors for adding depth to your flower

Optional Flower Stem Materials: I highly recommend you create the flower first, THEN get the supplies to add the stems once you know how large your flower turned out and if you even want a stem, unless you feel VERY confident.
